The anchoveta (Engraulis ringens) is a small fish, which lives in cold currents off the coasts of Peru and Chile. It is recognized for its nutritional contributions to health, such as vitamins A and D, iron, omega 6 and omega 3.
Important source of protein for animal feed. Highly digestible and with a high contribution of amino acids, minerals, vitamins, phospholipids and fatty acids (EPA and DHA) used especially in the breeding, growth and reproductive stages. It is also used in aquaculture production systems due to its palatability and acceptance.
