| COPEINCA, as producer of fishmeal and fish oil, is an integral part of the food chain and, according to the increasingly stronger market requirements, has the GMP+B2 certification for the production process in all its offices.
The scope of this certification goes from raw material collection and unloading to storage of our products. It is a quality management system for companies that produces raw material for balanced food. This system intends to guarantee the security of our products and is based on the HACCP system and management requirements of ISO9001 standard. |
| COPEINCA has the GMP+B3 certification that covers all activities from fishmeal and fish oil appraisal, to transportation to all our offices and product delivery at port or ships hold depending on the sale contract, ensuring food security and satisfaction of our clients.

 BASC stands for Business Alliance for Secure Commerce. COPEINCA has managed to obtain BASC certification. This standard management tool provides a secure global supply chain by addressing the risks of narcotics, terrorism and merchandise smuggling. It is essential to protect companies, workers, and the community in general. In view that BASC is a preventive system, it aims to anticipate the risk of infiltration in our product shipments, which implies controlling operating processes, personnel, access, infrastructure, suppliers, and even customers.
BASC is a business program established by the private sector with the support of US customs and national and international public organizations. It promotes among foreign trade operators (exporters, customs agents, cargo agents, carriers, warehouses and other logistics operators) the Normalization and Standardization of safety procedures in the export chain, preventing the risks associated with drug trafficking and terrorism that affect the companys image. |
In COPEINCA we prize Respect for the Environment and are currently implementing our Environmental Management System (EMS) based on International Standard ISO 14001, that comprehends the fish meal and fish oil production activities from unloading and receipt of the raw material to dispatch of the finished product, including all administrative activities.
The implementing of the EMS is performed in sequential steps and the objective is to cover all our installations. As a starting point for the project it was decided to choose our Chicama Plant. Subsequently, with the experience gained the project will be replicated in all our plants thereby achieving a corporate system.
